15. AeroVironment – United States
AeroVironment, Inc., headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, is a leading American defense contractor specializing in unmanned aerial vehicles and tactical missile systems.
With a long history dating back to 1971, AeroVironment has consistently delivered innovative and lightweight solutions, becoming a top supplier of small drones to the US military and its allies.
Its core strength lies in developing battle-proven systems that offer enhanced situational awareness, reconnaissance, and precision strike capabilities for warfighters on the front lines.

AeroVironment’s diverse product portfolio for defense includes widely adopted tactical unmanned aircraft systems such as the Raven, Puma, and Wasp, which are hand-launched and designed for rapid deployment and real-time intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance at the small unit level.
However, it is perhaps best known for its family of loitering munitions, most notably the Switchblade series. The Switchblade 300 and Switchblade 600 are miniature, expendable drones capable of precision strike against personnel and armored vehicles, respectively, offering a unique “kamikaze drone” capability with the ability to wave off or re-target.
Beyond these platforms, AeroVironment also provides rotary-wing UAS like the Vapor 55, which offers multi-mission flexibility with various payloads.
Recently, it unveiled the Red Dragon, a new series of fully autonomous, GPS-denied one-way attack UAS, and are also developing counter-UAS solutions like the Titan 4, a compact radio frequency system for detecting and defeating Group 1 and 2 drones.
