BAE Systems, PragoData Partner to Boost Czech Defense Logistics

BAE Systems has partnered with systems integrator PragoData to develop Integrated Product Support solutions for the Czech defense sector to improve how the country manages its military equipment.

Under the collaboration, BAE Systems will initially provide PragoData with software and services focused on asset management and lifecycle maintenance. The two companies plan to combine their technical expertise to help Czech defense organizations modernize and sustain key assets, including armored vehicles and other complex systems.

A central element of the partnership is PropheSEA, BAE’s asset management software already used by the Royal Navy and NATO partners. The platform tracks performance and maintenance in real time and connects with BAE subsidiary Eurostep’s ShareAspace platform for secure data sharing and logistics coordination.

BAE Systems said the agreement will help Czech defense organizations increase operational readiness and reduce downtime for equipment in service.

Modernization Across Czech Defense and Industry

The collaboration aligns with Czechia’s broader effort to upgrade its defense and industrial base amid regional security challenges, including increasing its defense spending to three percent of GDP by 2030.

The BAE-PragoData deal adds a digital dimension to these modernization efforts with a focus on data-driven logistics and sustainment tools.

Prague has recently moved to strengthen its local production and maintenance capacity, signing major contracts for new infantry fighting vehicles, expanding partnerships with NATO suppliers, and investing in digital logistics systems.

In 2025, Czechia received its first CV90 MkIV infantry fighting vehicle, marking the start of deliveries under a contract for at least 200 units running through 2030.

The government has also approved the purchase of 44 Leopard 2A8 battle tanks in a deal worth more than 32.76 billion Czech koruna ($1.56 billion), with deliveries scheduled between 2028 and 2031.
