Anduril Industries is acquiring space surveillance and tracking firm ExoAnalytic Solutions as it positions itself for expanded involvement in the Pentagon’s Golden Dome missile defense initiative.
Under the agreement, Anduril will integrate ExoAnalytic’s global telescope network and analytics capabilities with its own autonomous command, control, and battle management technologies, according to a report by Reuters.
ExoAnalytic operates more than 400 orbital telescope systems worldwide, giving it persistent awareness of objects in deep space — a capability Anduril said will strengthen its role in space sensing, tracking, and missile warning functions, particularly as the US explores layered defenses against ballistic, cruise, and hypersonic threats.
The acquisition of ExoAnalytic marks Anduril’s first under its space business unit and its 11th overall.
Company executives said combining ExoAnalytic’s sensor network with Anduril’s autonomy and mission software will serve emerging defense needs. However, financial terms were not disclosed and the deal remains subject to regulatory approval.
Defense Company Acquisitions
Several defense and aerospace firms have announced significant acquisitions or merger deals in recent years, expanding their technological portfolios or market reach.
In November 2025, Kratos Defense & Security Solutions agreed to buy Israel’s Orbit Technologies for $356.3 million to strengthen its satellite communications capabilities for mobile and unmanned systems. The deal is expected to close by March 2026 and will fold Orbit into Kratos’ microwave electronics division.
By December 2025, Uvision Group completed its acquisition of SpearUAV, an Israeli company focused on loitering systems and autonomous aerial technology.
The acquisition expanded Uvision’s presence in autonomous munitions across land, sea, and air domains and brought product lines covering both tactical loitering systems and broader unmanned capabilities.
Beyond these, the defense industry has seen larger consolidation trends.
For example, the planned acquisition of SciTec by Firefly Aerospace, a deal valued at approximately $855 million and linked to future space and defense integration projects such as the Golden Dome initiative.
