L3Harris Technologies has supplied its 3 millionth M734A1 mortar fuze to the US Army, underscoring sustained production for American and partner forces.
The M734A1 is a NATO-standard collision detector and rangefinder that supports firing and impact of 60, 81, and 120-millimeter high-explosive mortar shells.
It has a multi-option capability that enables users to employ burst fires at different heights, maintaining lethality across multiple mission profiles.
The fuze incorporates a special sensor to enhance allied protection during engagements and safety features to reduce collateral damage on the field.
“L3Harris has delivered reliable and advanced mortar fuzing solutions to our armed forces and allies for more than 25 years,” said Scott Alexander, president of missile solutions at L3Harris.
“Reaching the 3 millionth delivery of the M734A1 reflects our team’s expertise and our commitment to quality in support of the US Army, Marine Corps and our NATO allies.”

The breakthrough comes after the company announced in early February that it had delivered approximately 500,000 fuzes for US and allied military equipment in fiscal 2025.
That year’s supply accounts for nearly 80 percent of the increase compared to 2024.
In January, the firm confirmed that its recently inducted Missile Solutions subsidiary is set to receive about $1 billion in investment in support of Washington’s key solid rocket motor efforts.
The business is bound to operate as a standalone entity that will undertake propulsion initiatives at a broader scale, with appropriate regulatory steps scheduled to continue through the second half of 2026.
