CACI International has secured a five-year, $416-million task order to upgrade and sustain the US Navy’s IT systems under the Naval Sea Systems Command, reinforcing efforts to modernize maritime maintenance and fleet readiness.
The contract, awarded through the SeaPort-Next Generation program, supports the Navy Maritime Maintenance Enterprise Solution, a key initiative designed to streamline maintenance and logistics operations for ships and submarines.
Over the five-year period, CACI will leverage Industry 4.0 technologies, Agile software development, and its Agile Solution Factory framework to transition legacy systems into a unified, cloud-first IT environment.
This modernization aims to enhance data-driven decision-making, optimize resource allocation, and improve operational efficiency while reducing maintenance costs.
Modernizing US Navy IT
Modernizing information technology systems has become a central pillar of the US Navy’s effort to improve readiness and operational effectiveness.
In January 2026, General Dynamics Information Technology secured a $988-million C5ISR modernization contract to upgrade command, control, communications, and surveillance technologies across ships, aircraft, and shore stations.
Sev1Tech in October 2025 received a $49-million contract to provide cybersecurity, engineering, and network support for the Naval Information Warfare Center.
In the same month, Agile Defense joined a $44-million program led by Savvee Consulting to modernize the Military Sealift Command’s global IT network, focusing on cybersecurity, data analytics, and network sustainment to support logistics operations worldwide.
