Virginia Firm to Provide Support for US Navy InfoWar Center

The US Navy has awarded Virginia-based Sev1Tech a $49-million contract to provide cybersecurity, engineering, and network support for the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic.

NIWC Atlantic, based in Charleston, South Carolina, develops and manages the force’s digital warfare systems that handle communications, cybersecurity, and intelligence sharing across military operations.

Under the agreement, Sev1Tech will assist NIWC Atlantic’s Expeditionary Enterprise Systems and Services Division, or E2S2, with cyber engineering, network operations, and security services to help upgrade and secure the navy’s information capabilities.

Tasks cover the development and management of cloud and local IT infrastructure, personnel systems, and logistics technologies for both stateside and deployed units to optimize network reliability and mission readiness.

The project runs for one base year with four optional extensions.

According to the Virginia-based company, the agreement provides NIWC Atlantic with a “strategic advantage” in supporting missions across both domestic and overseas environments.

“Sev1Tech has proudly supported NIWC for over 20 years with reliable, mission-ready solutions,” said Joe Re, maritime division general manager at Sev1Tech.

“The cyber-secure systems and networks we support will enable naval information warfare superiority and drive modernization of enterprise infrastructure, cloud architectures and application migration across expeditionary systems and services.”
