Rheinmetall Rolls Out TGS-Mil Protected Armored Truck

Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicles (RMMV) has unveiled its modular, armored, and militarized truck during the inaugural RMMV Mobility Days 2025 in Vienna.

The TGS-Mil Protected vehicle is based on RMMV’s TG military truck series and comes in 6×6 and 8×8 variants, featuring off-road mobility and a protected two-person cabin.

Powered by a MAN D2676 six-cylinder diesel engine delivering up to 520 horsepower (382 kilowatts) and up to 2,650 Newton meters (1,954.5 pound-force feet) of torque, the truck boasts compatibility with NATO’s F34 fuel and Euro II, V, and VIe emission standards.

According to the company, the truck uses proven civilian components to simplify maintenance and leverage MAN’s global service network.

Rheinmetall TG-MIL Series

TG-MIL vehicles share several features emphasizing driver and passenger safety.

Each has a solid exterior made with high-strength materials for enhanced protection in case of a frontal crash, comes with advanced driving assistance systems, and an interior designed to minimize driver distraction.

Meanwhile, its reinforced roof can accommodate two soldiers and additional equipment, including weapon mounts, ammunition, antennas, or extra batteries. It is fitted with a round hatch and provisions for swivel mounts.

For enhanced stealth, TG-MIL platforms have a three-stage blackout light with infrared that is only visible with special equipment. Its Mission Mode deactivates all actively transmitting functionalities to minimize cyber threats.
