India’s IG Defence Clinches Indigenous Anti-Drone System Orders From Army, Navy

Indian defense firm IG Defence has secured orders from the Indian Army and Navy for its IG T-Shul Pulse anti-drone system, which is fully designed, developed, and manufactured in India.

The move aligns with the government’s Make in India initiative, emphasizing domestic defense technology and self-reliance.

While the contract value and number of units ordered were not disclosed, the company shared that the systems are expected to be formally introduced into service and operationally deployed with military units in about a month, Telegraph India reported

India’s armed forces has been rapidly expanding domestic counter-drone capabilities, having previously ordered man-portable systems from Axiscades Technologies, advanced anti-drone systems and jammers from Paras Anti-Drone Technologies, and hard-kill solutions from Zen Technologies Limited.

IG T-Shul Pulse

The IG T-Shul Pulse is a handheld, electronic warfare-based counter-drone jammer designed to disrupt and neutralize hostile drones within 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) under line-of-sight conditions.

Built for frontline troops, perimeter security, military bases, and the protection of critical strategic assets, the system features a multi-band, directionally controlled electronic denial architecture that enables operators to engage threats without degrading friendly communications or naval systems.

Its directional energy focus also limits electromagnetic spillover, enhancing safety and effectiveness in contested environments both on land and at sea.

Lightweight and rapidly deployable, the IG T-Shul Pulse represents a significant upgrade over legacy single-function jammers, according to the company.

Production is currently in the hundreds and scalable to meet operational requirements.
