US Awards $212M Contract to Elbit for Advanced Night Vision Goggle Production
The US Army has awarded Elbit Systems a $212-million delivery order to continue producing Enhanced Night Vision Goggle-Binocular (ENVG-B) systems through 2028.
The deal covers continued manufacturing of the ENVG-B system, which combines thermal imaging and image intensification to help soldiers detect and engage targets in low-visibility conditions.
Unlike previous procurement rounds where production was split between multiple vendors, Elbit Systems of America was the only prime contractor selected for this delivery order.
The ENVG-B is designed to improve battlefield awareness by integrating thermal sensing, augmented reality overlays, and passive targeting features into a single wearable system.
This system allows soldiers to operate in low-light and no-light environments while maintaining target visibility in difficult weather and terrain.
Elbit Systems CEO Bezhalel Machlis said that the “continuation of orders under the program originally awarded in 2023 is a strong testament to the performance and trust placed in our systems.”
Advanced Vision Systems
The Elbit award follows a series of US military contracts focused on expanding production of soldier visualization systems.
In March, the US Army awarded Elbit Systems a $120-million contract to develop a helmet-mounted mission command system that combines multiple battlefield sensor feeds into a single display for dismounted troops.
In April, the service selected L3Harris Technologies for a contract worth up to $465 million to supply next-generation binocular night-vision systems under the seven-year Binocular Night Observation Device program.
Earlier, in December 2025, Syntec Optics secured an order to provide advanced optics for the US military’s next generation of augmented reality systems.
