TTTECH to Deliver Networking Equipment for US Army HADES Spy Plane

The US Army has selected TTTECH North America to provide an advanced networking solution for the service’s ongoing High Accuracy Detection and Exploitation System (HADES) aircraft program.

TTTECH will provide a 10 Gigabit Time-Sensitive Network platform that includes switches and endpoints aligned with the aerospace onboard Ethernet standard, along with network configuration tools and supporting software.

The equipment supports real-time data relay between avionics equipment with fault-tolerant scheduling and adheres to safety certification DO-178 Design Assurance Level A, which serves as the highest aviation software standard against systems that could cause flight accidents.

Additionally, the platform uses an open digital architecture that allows the military to upgrade and reconfigure systems quickly while lowering long-term costs and supporting modular, plug-and-play components.

“This award reflects our commitment to delivering innovative, network platform solutions that enable secure, high speed connectivity for upgradeable mission-critical systems,” said Alvaro Soares, products and customer programs director at TTTECH North America.

“We look forward to contributing to the Army’s vision for a future-ready digital backbone on the HADES program and beyond.”

The HADES Program

The upcoming HADES fleet will replace the US Army’s legacy turboprop intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance planes, as the military pushes for systems with enhanced operational altitude and flight speed.

The initiative, announced in 2024, will run for 12 years and is expected to produce up to six platforms.

Each aircraft will be based on the Bombardier Global 6500 business jet, with the first modified system slated for delivery later this year.

As of January 2026, HADES prime contractor SNC is working on four HADES airframes at its facility in Maryland.
