Milrem Robotics, EOS to Enhance Mission-Ready UGV Systems
Estonian defense contractor Milrem Robotics and EOS Defence Systems in Australia have signed a teaming agreement to advance unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) capabilities and explore opportunities in combat autonomy.
Under this strategy, the consortium will jointly pursue research and development of “network-centric” solutions to enable seamless integration between weapons, sensors, and Milrem’s UGV products.
The collaboration anticipates incorporating counter-drone systems, missile and grenade launchers, large-caliber UGV weapon systems, and laser technologies throughout the course of the partnership.
The firms will also co-develop additional solutions that leverage each of their specialties, and exchange technical know-how to accelerate commercialization and deployment.
Outputs from this venture will be initially targeted to key markets in the Middle East and North Africa, the Asia-Pacific region, and Europe, with potential opportunities in the US depending on future demands.
Priority countries include the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Singapore, Indonesia, and select European programs where Milrem and EOS’ capabilities are beneficial.
Beyond those customers, the companies will identify new markets and customer segments of mutual interest while planning and implementing joint marketing initiatives.
“By combining Milrem Robotics’ unmanned ground vehicle expertise with EOS Defence Systems’ advanced weapon and integration capabilities, we are strengthening our ability to deliver scalable and mission-ready solutions for modern armed forces,” said Kuldar Väärsi, CEO of Milrem Robotics.
“This teaming agreement reflects our shared commitment to innovation, interoperability, and responding to evolving operational requirements.”
