The US Army has awarded Knight’s Armament a contract worth $21 million to produce and deliver M110 semi-automatic sniper systems for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The funding comes from the fiscal 2024 Ukraine Security Initiative and Partnership Capacity Building funds, with deliveries scheduled to be completed by January 30, 2027.
The contract comes a year after announcing the rifles for Ukraine in 2024.
The rifle is reportedly used by Ukrainian Special Forces, the Ukrainian National Guard, and foreign volunteers of the International Legion for the Defense of Ukraine.
Features
The 7.62mm caliber rifle measures 46.75 inches (119 cm) overall and has a 20-inch (50.8-centimeter) barrel.
It weighs 13.84 pounds (6.27 kilograms), including suppressor and day optic scope, and can neutralize targets at 800 meters (2,625 feet).
