NY Firm Opens RF Testing Chamber to Boost Airspace Solutions Production
Radio frequency solutions firm Hidden Level has introduced a new anechoic chamber at its advanced manufacturing facility in East Syracuse, New York, expanding its airspace security work.
The chamber will support production and testing of the company’s sensing technologies used for low-altitude awareness and counter-unmanned aerial system operations.
An anechoic chamber delivers a fully controlled environment for measuring frequencies by blocking outside electromagnetic interference and absorbing residual signals.
The infrastructure enables engineers to conduct highly precise and repeatable testing for sensitive defense platforms.
Hidden Level said the facility will help optimize development and production timelines while meeting the accuracy standards required for national security programs supporting the US military, allies, and other international partners.
The launch also marks another step in the company’s push for “continued investment in domestic research, development, and manufacturing capacity” in Central New York, with efforts backed by partnerships with the state’s economic development agency Empire State Development and programs under the Manufacturing Extension Partnership.
With the latest milestone, the enterprise now operates four facilities across the Syracuse area.
“This chamber changes the pace at which we can develop, test, and deliver,” said Jeff Cole, CEO of Hidden Level. “We’re no longer dependent on external test ranges or third-party facilities.”
“We can iterate faster, validate more rigorously, and get proven systems into the hands of the warfighters and operators who need them faster. The manufacturing capability we’ve built here in Syracuse is world-class, and it exists in service of that global mission,” he added.
