M-tron Secures $2.7M Order for Counter-Drone Radar Technologies
M-tron Industries has secured a $2.7-million production contract tied to a US defense counter-drone radar program.
The order was awarded by a US Department of Defense contractor and includes multiple radio frequency (RF) components, notably oven-controlled crystal oscillators used in high-stability timing applications for radar and electronic warfare systems.
According to the company, the radar program is gaining traction across US procurement channels and allied defense markets, with production expected to extend beyond 2030.
Work will be carried out in Orlando, Florida, through mid-2027.
M-tron said the award reinforces its position in precision RF technologies used across defense applications, including radar, communications, electronic warfare, guided munitions, drones, and space systems.
“Radar applications are an area in which we are seeing explosive growth as we help address the changing needs of the joint forces on the modern battlefield,” M-tron CEO Cameron Pforr said.
M-tron’s Mark
In addition to the latest award, M-tron has reported sustained demand across multiple defense and aerospace programs over recent years.
In December 2025, the company secured a $20-million, two-year contract to supply high-performance RF components for a US air defense program.
This followed a $5.5-million production contract awarded to M-tron in September 2025 to supply RF components for a US naval weapon system. The award includes rugged crystal and lumped element filters designed for use in harsh operational environments.
