M-tron Industries has secured a $5.5-million production contract to supply high-performance radio frequency (RF) components for a key US naval weapon system.
The award includes rugged crystal and “lumped element” filters designed for harsh operational environments. The components are part of a long-running program that M-tron has supported for nearly a decade.
Manufacturing will take place at M-tron’s facility in Orlando, Florida, with production scheduled through 2026. The broader program is expected to remain active until at least 2035.
While the specific naval platform was not disclosed, similar RF technologies are typically used in radar, electronic warfare, and secure communications systems.
Previous M-tron Contracts
The latest award extends M-tron’s role in multiple longstanding US defense programs.
Earlier this month, the company received a separate $3-million contract for similar crystal and cavity RF filters in support of a major air defense system.
M-tron specializes in RF components, including filters, oscillators, and resonators, critical to radar, EW, and communications technologies used by US and allied forces.
Manufacturing for both contracts will be carried out at the company’s Orlando site.
