TRAX Wins $727M US Army Contract for Yuma Proving Ground Test Support

TRAX International Corporation has won a follow-on contract valued at $726.9 million by the US Army Test and Evaluation Command for mission test support services at Yuma Proving Ground in Arizona.

The agreement will run for seven years, continuing the company’s long-standing role at the site.

Under the deal, TRAX will support testing and evaluation activities across multiple facilities, including the Yuma Test Center and Arctic and tropical test environments.

The work covers a wide range of systems and technologies assessed under operationally relevant conditions.

Moreover, the contract includes full-spectrum test and evaluation services.

This covers planning, execution, data collection, and analysis to verify system performance before field deployment.

As the US Army incorporates tools such as AI, digital twins, and advanced modeling, the testing framework is expected to adapt to more complex and data-driven validation processes.

Testing Footprint and Operations

The company’s involvement in Yuma spans more than three decades.

“We are committed to maintaining excellence in delivering mission-critical support for the US Army and its soldiers, helping reduce risk, avoid costly failures and build warfighter trust in new capabilities,” stated Brian Thompson, TRAX senior VP.

Current operations include a workforce of over 900 technical personnel supporting more than 400 test events each year, ranging from equipment validation to system performance assessments.

TRAX is also engaged at other army test locations, including the Aberdeen Test Center in Maryland, the Dugway Proving Ground in Utah, and the White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico, supporting evaluation activities for a broad range of defense programs.
