US Army Awards Anduril $20B AI Integration Contract
The US Army has awarded Anduril Industries a contract worth up to $20 billion to integrate its AI-enabled Lattice software suite, along with hardware, data systems, and technical support, into a unified, mission-ready capability.
The agreement consolidates multiple commercial solutions into a single platform to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making across army networks.
Work locations and funding will be determined with each order, and the contract is expected to continue through March 2036.
Anduril’s Lattice suite collects and fuses data from various sensors and platforms, providing a coherent operational picture while enabling faster, AI-assisted decision-making.
Its modular architecture allows seamless integration with existing army networks and tactical systems, supporting command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance operations.
Boosting AI Defense in the US
Anduril’s award follows a trend of expanding AI adoption in US defense.
Anduril was selected to provide autonomy systems for the US Special Operations Command’s uncrewed platforms in March 2025 under an $86-million contract using Lattice-based software.
In February 2025, the company took over the army’s Integrated Visual Augmentation System program from Microsoft, redesigning next-generation soldier goggles around open, AI-enabled architectures.
Shield AI deployed its Hivemind autonomy software in February 2026 for the US Air Force’s Collaborative Combat Aircraft program, powering AI-driven mission autonomy for advanced drone prototypes.
Partnerships between companies like SMX and Google Public Sector under the Pentagon’s LEIA initiative show how commercial AI technology is increasingly integrated into defense operations.
