Pelican Teams With DRYOUT to Address Moisture Risks in Equipment Storage

Pelican Products has announced a partnership with DRYOUT to integrate reusable moisture-control panels into selected Pelican protective cases to reduce moisture-related damage to sensitive equipment stored in harsh or variable environments.

Moisture accumulation inside sealed cases remains a persistent challenge for military and government users that rely on electronics, optics, firearms, and other precision equipment.

Condensation can lead to corrosion, fogging, and material degradation, often without immediate visibility, increasing maintenance costs and reducing equipment availability.

Pelican, DRYOUT Partnership

Under the partnership, Pelican will offer DRYOUT insert panels designed to fit specific Pelican case models already in widespread use.

The first configuration targets the Pelican 1600 Protector Series, using a low-profile panel mounted inside the case to absorb and retain moisture without significantly reducing internal storage volume.

The DRYOUT panels provide higher moisture absorption capacity than conventional silica-based desiccants and are designed to work continuously while equipment is stored, according to the companies.

They are reusable and can be reset without electricity by exposure to sunlight or warm airflow. The companies said this approach reduces long-term operating costs and reduces waste, particularly for users managing large fleets of protective cases.

Initial availability is limited to a small number of case models, with potential expansion to additional Pelican platforms based on demand and operational feedback.
