Lockheed Martin has pushed the US Army’s rocket artillery farther with a successful flight test of its Extended-Range Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System (ER-GMLRS).
Fired from White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico, the weapon flew 112 kilometers (70 miles), demonstrating its improved long-range capability.
The test used an Alternative Warhead (AW) variant launched from a High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS), also validating both accuracy and lethality against area targets.
