MAPS GEN II Brings Anti-Jamming Navigation to US Army Vehicles
The US Army has begun fielding its next-gen positioning, navigation, and timing system, giving military vehicles resilient, spoof-proof navigation even in GPS-degraded or denied environments.
Known as MAPS GEN II (Mounted Assured Positioning, Navigation, and Timing System), the system forms a key part of Transformation in Contact 2.0, the army’s push to accelerate delivery of modern equipment.
It is designed to ensure vehicle crews can shoot, move, and communicate with confidence even under electronic warfare (EW) threats.
