California Firm Claims Its Cloud Tech Can Make GPS 100x More Accurate

A California-based firm said it has cracked one of GPS’s biggest limitations using cloud software.

Swift Navigation unveiled Skylark, a cloud-powered positioning tech designed to correct GPS errors and deliver centimeter-level accuracy.

Traditional GPS typically provides positioning accuracy within a range of 3 to 10 meters (9 to 32 feet), sufficient for general navigation but may not be precise enough for many autonomous vehicles or drones.
