General Dynamics European Land Systems (GDELS) has delivered the first Eagle 6×6 medium protected medical vehicle to the German Armed Forces as part of a contract signed in 2020.
The system was accepted by the service’s Medical Training Regiment in Feldkirchen, Bavaria, during an ongoing field response drill.
Berlin’s investment in adopting the platform amounted to $159 million and covers the supply of up to 80 units.
During the announcement, the German military highlighted that the incoming fleet will complement its existing light and heavy armored medical vehicles, such as the older Eagle Ground Reconnaissance System and Boxer Multi-Role Armored Vehicle.

“We would like to thank our German customers for the continued trust they place in us and are delighted that we can hand over the most modern ambulance vehicle in the world to the German Armed Forces,” said Dr. Thomas Kauffmann, managing director of GDELS Germany.
