Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Fitzgerald (DDG 62) sails in formation July 22, off the coast of Hawaii during Exercise Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2024. Twenty-nine nations, 40 surface ships, three submarines, 14 national land forces, more than 150 aircraft and 25,000 personnel are participating in RIMPAC in and around the Hawaiian Islands, June 27 to Aug. 1. The world's largest international maritime exercise, RIMPAC provides a unique training opportunity while fostering and sustaining cooperative relationships among participants critical to ensuring the safety of sea lanes and security on the world's oceans. The full force of British Army firepower will be brought to bear on Salisbury Plain as rehearsals take place today for The Army Combined Power Demonstration. Invited guests have been treated to a ground shaking demonstration of what the UK can bring to a fight. The Army Combined Power Demonstration is designed to showcase the breadth of the Army's utility and demonstrate how the Army operates in an era of constant competition. Delivered by Field Army, it will promote the Army's purpose and showcase innovation. It focusses on demonstrating: Information Manoeuvre & Unconventional Warfare, War-fighting, Prototype Warfare, Enablement and an Interactive stand. The arrival of turreted AJAX will provide a focal point for the Prototype Warfare stand.
