CACI to Reinforce US Space Force Base Networks Under $12.5B Framework

CACI International has won a five-year task order worth up to $212 million to support enterprise-level network infrastructure upgrades for US Space Force installations.

The effort falls under the Pentagon’s Enterprise Information Technology as a Service Base Infrastructure Modernization, a $12.5-billion ceiling project to sustain digital and cyber capabilities across American air and space militaries.

With CACI, the space force will receive “transformation and unification of legacy network infrastructures,” backing warfighter connectivity amid “growing mission-critical demand.”

Work will involve base area networks that connect internal communication and data-sharing between barracks and command centers across 14 military bases.

“CACI stands with America’s Guardians, delivering insights and keeping pace with evolving threats to ensure the Space Force has connectivity, across all classifications, when they need it most,” said John Mengucci, CEO and president at CACI.

“At CACI, we have a proven history of delivering resilient, software-defined network infrastructure that is more secure and efficient. We are accelerating innovation and enabling success by delivering a modern infrastructure that supports high-bandwidth, high-security operations in a contested domain.”

EW Contract With US Army

The deal follows CACI’s acceptance of a separate contract last December to aid the US Army in countering adversarial electronic warfare assets.

Costing up to $79 million, the project will focus on developing radio-frequency-enabled tools for the military’s Combat Capabilities Development Command.

The resulting solutions will support related work to reinforce the army’s broader explosive ordnance disposal and electronic countermeasures initiatives to increase “survivability and combat performance” ahead of threats.
