Roke Rolls Out Integration Framework for Defense Partners

UK-based engineering firm Roke has launched “Works with Roke,” an initiative that brings together technology partners, suppliers, and integrators to support the development and deployment of defense capabilities.

The program introduces a structured framework for organizations to demonstrate how their technologies integrate with Roke’s systems.

This includes aligning supply chains and showing how different components contribute to a wider defense ecosystem.

The initiative formalizes existing collaboration practices, where Roke systems are already integrated into third-party platforms and incorporate external technologies.

It is also intended to address concerns about vendor lock-in by supporting technologies designed to work together from the outset, with the “Works with Roke” label indicating that products have been tested and verified to operate with Roke systems.

Strengthening Collaborations

According to the company, the framework is intended to reduce barriers to collaboration and accelerate the introduction of new capabilities.

“We need to move faster from concept to deployment, and that means working together earlier and more openly,” said CTO Matt Albans.

“‘Works with Roke’ is our call to industry to step forward – integrate, collaborate and help deliver capability at pace for the UK and its allies.”

Roke stated that the initiative aligns with broader policy direction, including the UK Defence Industrial Strategy, which places emphasis on partnerships, innovation, and a more responsive defense industrial base.

As part of the plan, London last year allocated 250 million pounds ($336 million) for defense growth deals aimed at enabling local authorities, businesses, and research institutions to contribute to the sector.
