Mobix to Supply Filtered Connectors for F-22 Raptor Jets

Mobix Labs has received subcontracts to deliver filtered connectors for the US F-22 Raptor program.

The agreements expand the firm’s role in providing mission-critical components, with one deal supporting an existing F-22 partner and another involving a new customer.

Filtered Connectors

Filtered connectors protect the onboard systems from electromagnetic interference.

These components are key to maintaining the fighter jet’s electronic warfare capability, particularly in denied and degraded environments.

The California-based company is now preparing production, with deliveries scheduled for later this year.

“This expansion reflects increasing demand for high-reliability component solutions supporting active defense platforms,” Mobix Labs Phil Sansone said.

“We are focused on executing in areas where our technology supports critical system performance and where reliability directly impacts mission success.”

Continuous Support

According to Mobix, the contracts increase its Raptor-related activities fivefold and strengthen ongoing support for the platform as it is deployed across international missions.

The F-22 program produced approximately 195 airframes between 2001 and 2012. Most are now used for pilot and aircrew training, while some are undergoing modernization.

The US Air Force, the sole operator of the fighter jet, plans to keep the Lockheed Martin-built fleet in service into the 2040s.

In addition to its work on the F-22, Mobix is expanding its presence in other defense sectors, including Gulfstream Aerospace aircraft production, smart munitions, and counter-drone systems.
