Ukraine Receives First Linza Tactical Drones From Quantum Frontline

Ukrainian-German joint venture Quantum Frontline Industries (QFI) has begun supplying its flagship Linza tactical drones to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The announcement follows the completion of the first production tranche, with the company aiming to produce more than 10,000 drones annually.

QFI is expected to ramp up output and deliveries throughout the year as operational demand increases.

The company did not disclose further details on the order or timelines due to operational security considerations.

‘Stable and Predictable’ Supply

The milestone comes less than a year after Ukraine’s Frontline Robotics and Germany’s Quantum Systems formed QFI in December 2025.

The joint venture was launched under Kyiv’s “Build with Ukraine” initiative, aimed at localizing the development of tactical equipment with support from international partners.

Most of the company’s assembly work is based in Bavaria, Germany.

“Our goal is to help ensure that the needs of Ukrainian forces for tactical [unmanned aerial vehicles] are fully met,” Frontline Robotics Chief Business Development Officer Mykyta Rozhkov stated.

“We are focused on delivering systems that perform reliably in real operations, while maintaining stable and predictable supply on our side. We are grateful to the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, the German Ministry of Defence, and our partners for making this possible.”

Linza’s Specifications

QFI’s Linza is a 10-inch (25-centimeter) drone capable of carrying up to 2 kilograms (4 pounds) of payload and equipped with electronic warfare capabilities.

The system features a stabilized camera, thermal imager, and a communications module enabling a control link of up to 100 meters (328 feet) from operators.

On the field, the platform can achieve a flight speed of up to 15 meters (52 feet) per second and a range of 10 kilometers (6 miles).

Linza is delivered with QFI’s ground control station suite, which includes an 8-meter (26-foot) mast, a control tablet, spare parts, and dedicated stations for remote piloting and battery charging.
