Parsons Secures $125M Contract Supporting US Army Research Lab
Parsons Corporation has secured a five-year, $125-million contract with the US Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Army Research Laboratory.
Under the initiative, the company will deliver services for the High Performance Computing Modernization Program and the Defense Research and Engineering Network, including AI- and machine-learning-enabled work in information processing and network and communications science.
The contract covers test and evaluation, infrastructure operations, and program management.
Areas such as system administration, cybersecurity, and database management for high-performance computing resources and research networks are also included.
“This award underscores Parsons’ long-standing dedication to innovation and excellence in support of the US Army,” stated Dr. David Tyler, VP of C5ISR Solutions at Parsons.
Latest Initiatives
Beyond its work with the US Army, the company supports other branches of the US armed forces.
Last year, the US Air Force partnered with Parsons to integrate a directed-energy explosive ordnance disposal system onto the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle.
The effort is part of Washington’s broader push to modernize its Recovery of Airbase Denied by Ordnance capabilities, which rely on vehicle-mounted laser systems to clear unexploded munitions from airfields and contested environments.
In 2024, Parsons and Rafael’s US subsidiary announced plans to pursue a US Marine Corps contract jointly focused on countering small unmanned aerial systems at military installations.
The proposed solution is based on Rafael’s Drone Dome architecture, which combines radar-based detection, electro-optical and infrared sensors, electronic warfare jamming, and passive radio-frequency detection to identify and neutralize hostile drones.
