JCB Wins $205M US Contract for 437HT Military Loaders
JCB has secured a $205-million contract with the US Marine Corps to supply 535 militarized versions of its 437HT wheeled loader over the next decade.
Chris Giorgianni, Vice President of JCB Government & Defense, said the contracts reflect the reliability and suitability of JCB machines for military operations worldwide.
Under the latest agreement, test machines are expected to be delivered later in 2026. Full production is slated to begin in 2027.
The contract is part of the US Marine Corps’ Tractor, Rubber Tired, Articulated-Steering Multi-Purpose vehicle program, designed to provide versatile, all-terrain support to military operations.
Other JCB Deals With US Government
JCB’s US defense portfolio has grown steadily over the past years beyond its global footprint of almost 1,000 units sold.
The latest deal is the company’s third contract with the US Marine Corps.
In 2025, the US Marine Corps awarded JCB a $45-million contract for militarized 4CX backhoe loaders, following a $39-million order in 2024 for Multi-Terrain Loaders.
These specialized backhoe and loader variants are for engineering and construction missions, supporting mobility, logistics, and all-terrain operational capabilities.
Earlier in 2022, JCB delivered a series of 437HT and 4CX machine units for testing and operational evaluation.
