L3Harris Technologies has provided the first Meadowlands production unit to the US Space Force’s Mission Delta 3 – Space Electromagnetic Warfare.
By providing situational awareness and electronic warfare capabilities in space, the Meadowlands system enhances the ability to monitor, react to, and neutralize potential threats in real time.
The Meadowlands Counter Communications System (CCS), a more compact and transportable version of L3Harris’ CCS, uses ground-based radio frequency units to interfere with satellite communications.
Mounted on wheeled trailers, the system can be repositioned quickly, offering flexibility to evade counter-jamming efforts.
“Our adversaries are developing counter-space weapons, and we must be ready to respond with speed, precision and resilience,” General Chance Saltzman, Chief of Space Operations, said.
L3Harris-US Space Force Relations
L3Harris has built a broad portfolio of space-focused contracts with the US Space Force, spanning communications, electronic warfare, and satellite protection systems. This first production delivery follows previous development units provided earlier in 2025.
In addition to Meadowlands, the company has delivered components for the Counter Communications System development program, helping to modernize space-based electromagnetic capabilities.
L3Harris also supports the Space Force’s Space Fence program, providing sensors and processing technology to track objects in low Earth orbit and improve space domain awareness.
