Australian Firm to Supply Digital Defense Systems in Record NATO Partner Deal
Australian digital and extended reality systems developer Vection Technologies has received a contract to supply digital defense infrastructure to a NATO-approved partner in Europe.
Under the deal, Vection will provide secure computing and communications systems integrated with its flagship INTEGRATEDXR, a platform fusing artificial intelligence with advanced digital visualization.
INTEGRATEDXR enables defense operators to interact with complex data through secure systems, simulations, and immersive displays.
The system was piloted last year and will now be scaled to monitor and safeguard critical defense sites across Europe.
Biggest Contract
The deal — the largest in the company’s history — is worth 22.3 million Australian dollars ($14.7 million) and runs until the end of the decade. It could rise to 29.5 million Australian dollars ($19.4 million) under current terms.
Vection said the contract will be carried out with its existing resources, requiring no new investment. The unnamed European partner is certified to supply NATO and the Council of Europe and already works with major defense contractors across the region.
The agreement brings the initiative’s total value to 40 million Australian dollars ($26.4 million), including 17.7 million ($11.6 million) in previously signed contracts and 10.3 million ($6.8 million) already delivered.
If extended, the program could reach 47.2 million Australian dollars ($31.1 million) by the end of the decade.
Expanding Footprint in Europe
According to Vection, the deal strengthens its role in NATO’s Tempest production chain, which sets standards to protect against electronic spying.
The Perth-based firm noted that growing security risks in Europe are fueling demand for artificial intelligence systems able to process large volumes of data quickly to detect potential threats.
“This Framework strengthens our long-standing relationship with a trusted European partner in the defense ecosystem, expanding Vection’s solutions and its role in the defense sector,” Vection Technologies Managing Director Gianmarco Biagi said.
“It provides a clear programmatic path through 2030, with a portion already delivered and further significant orders on the way. We will maintain discipline in execution and update the market as we receive material orders.”
