Lockheed Martin and Rheinmetall have completed the first live-fire test of the Global Mobile Artillery Rocket System (GMARS), a next-gen launcher capable of firing twice the payload of HIMARS.
The dual-pod launcher blends combat-proven US missile systems with a European-built 8×8 tactical truck tailored for NATO use.
It can fire up to 12 Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System (GMLRS), four Precision Strike Missiles (PrSM), or two Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS).
