Russia Fires 40 Missiles, 40 Drones at Ukraine Overnight: Zelensky

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russia fired more than 40 missiles and 40 drones at Ukraine overnight, again hitting the city of Kharkiv.

On 09 April 2024, UK Armed Forces load Container Delivery Systems (CDS) with Humanitarian Aid as part of the action to address the plight of the Palestinian people. Army personnel from 47 Air Despatch Squadron load aid from Jordan and the UK onto an RAF A400M Atlas from RAF Brize Norton. 12000 Kgs of aid was dropped into Northern Gaza after an assessed reduction in threat to the military mission and risk to civilian life. The Royal Air Force participated in a large-scale international aid airdrop into Gaza on Tuesday (9 April 2024) to coincide with Eid al-Fitr, marking the end of Ramadan. This was the largest airdrop of aid into Gaza on a single day and the culmination of careful planning alongside international partners to ensure the complex mission could be conducted safely and effectively. Led by the Jordanian Armed Forces, the international operation saw 10 nations and 16 aircraft (to check) including UK, Germany, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, the United States and Jordan (to check) drop essential aid.
