Australian and Singaporean defence personnel conduct CBRN training on board HMAS Brisbane whilst alongside in Sembawang *** Local Caption *** Australian Army special operations force soldiers from the Special Operations Engineer Regiment (SOER) joined 36th and 39th Battalion, Singapore Combat Engineers, specialists for counter-CBRNE (chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and high-yield explosives) training in Singapore as part of Indo-Pacific Endeavour 2023. The Australian Army and Singapore Army combat engineers conducted training together in Singapore and on the Royal Australian Navy destroyer HMAS Brisbane to share skills and further enhance interoperability. SOER counter-CBRNE specialist soldiers are highly trained and responsible for developing Australian Defence Force doctrine and ensuring the ADF is equipped to meet current and future needs. SOER is an Australian Army special operations force unit within Special Forces Group providing the Australian Government with unique technical capabilities in support of the national interest.
