Michigan-based Barron Industries has acquired the casting assets and expertise of Detroit-based TriTech Titanium Parts as demand grows for military-grade titanium components.
The move integrates TriTech’s titanium casting — a process used to build parts for demanding operating environments — into Barron’s portfolio.
According to Barron, the takeover is expected to improve its existing precision-based operations, which distribute machined steel, stainless steel, and aluminum alloy materials to tactical solutions developers.
The deal also marks the start of the firm’s broader effort to expand its core facility in Oxford, Michigan, where the company plans to increase production capacity.
Associated transfer and installation of equipment are now ongoing, with the beginning of operations slated for the fourth quarter of 2026.
The companies did not disclose financial terms.
“In collaboration with TriTech owner Bob Swenson, Barron Industries is setting up a new facility to melt and pour titanium primarily for the aerospace, defense and industrial/commercial industries,” Barron Industries CEO Bruce Barron said.
“Barron will be working very closely with TriTech customers to transfer tooling and business, providing as seamless a transition as possible. The experienced teams at Barron and TriTech will be working hand-in-hand during the transition and setup process.”
