Russia Says Ukrainian Strike on Minibus Killed 3

A Ukrainian strike killed three passengers of a minibus and wounded eight people in the Russian border region of Belgorod, the local governor said on Wednesday.

Since launching its offensive in Ukraine in February 2022, Russia has carried out regular bombardments across the country, targeting key infrastructure.

Kyiv says its retaliatory drone attacks are mainly aimed at Russian energy infrastructure, but Moscow has repeatedly accused Ukraine of strikes that it says have killed civilians.

“The enemy deliberately struck a passenger bus in the village of Voznesenovka,” Belgorod regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov wrote on Telegram, adding “three women died instantly from their wounds”.

Eight wounded people were taken to a hospital, and “two of them, unfortunately, are in serious condition”, Gladkov said.

A picture he posted on Telegram showed a minibus with shattered windows and glass shards on the bus stairs.
