Japan Boosts Domestic AI Defense Tech With Fujitsu Accelerator Program
Japan is stepping up efforts to develop domestic AI capabilities for defense, with local firm Fujitsu launching a new initiative to support the country’s military.
The Fujitsu Accelerator Program for Defense Tech is part of a research push commissioned by Japan’s Acquisition, Technology & Logistics Agency to examine how AI can help commanders with operational analysis and planning.
At its core, the initiative focuses on “multi-AI agents,” systems that combine multiple AI models to autonomously collect data, analyze it, and generate actionable recommendations.
