Ukraine Launches Digital Military Logistics Platform
Ukraine has completed a digital overhaul of its military equipment logistics, shifting procurement, tracking, and delivery systems into a single real‑time digital platform to speed frontline supply.
Under the new Digital Logistics Management System (DLMS) rolled out by the Ministry of Defence, everything from procurement contracts to deliveries of armored medical vehicles, off‑road trucks, motorcycles, and tactical vehicles is now processed digitally.
The system tracks every piece of equipment from contract award through arrival at storage facilities to final delivery to military units, drastically reducing paperwork and delays.
In previous processes, paperwork transfers and confirmations could take several days, slowing deployment of urgently needed equipment.
With DLMS, documents are transmitted instantly and vehicle movements are monitored online, shortening supply timelines and improving situational awareness for logistics planners.
The next phase will extend the system’s reach to units actively engaged in combat operations.
DLMS is built on SAP software, a data-driven defense resource management platform widely used across NATO armies.
Ukrainian Digital Military Supply Efforts
Ukraine has been pushing multiple digitalization initiatives in its defense procurement and logistics to enhance speed, transparency, and battlefield relevance.
One of the most notable of these is DOT‑Chain Defence, a digital weapons marketplace launched in 2025 to streamline frontline equipment delivery and reduce bureaucracy.
Initially piloted with a handful of combat brigades, the system has expanded dramatically. By late 2025, DOT‑Chain Defence had been scaled to cover 184 brigades and had facilitated more than a billion dollars worth of deliveries, including drones, electronic warfare systems, and other tactical gear.
This model empowers units to choose equipment they need and places legal, financial, and delivery procedures in the hands of the defense procurement agency.
