Ukraine Accepts Rodeur 330 Drones From France

Bordeaux-based EOS Technologie has delivered its flagship Rodeur 330 unmanned aerial systems to Ukraine in support of the country’s almost four-year defense against Russia.

The move serves as the first shipment of the interceptor drones to Kyiv, where they will be distributed as part of a broader strategy to replenish Ukraine’s stockpile.

This initiative also backs industrial efforts between France and Ukraine, matching Moscow’s production of 1,000 drones daily and countering “thousands” of them by deploying “inexpensive” capabilities, according to AFP.

Jean-Marc Zuliani, president at EOS Technologie, told the outlet that the Rodeurs will act as “shield” for the Ukrainian Armed Forces by undertaking intelligence tasks or kamikaze attacks.

The supply follows a December 2025 confirmation that the French defense contractor will provide Ukraine with long-range loitering munitions, including the Rodeur 330 and its rocket-powered variant, for military evaluations.

The Rodeur 330 has already been tested to neutralize a tank through first-person-view control, and has proven effective against a simulated threat while fully automated, Militarnyi reported.

The Rodeur 330 System

EOS Technologie’s Rodeur 330 weighs 25 kilograms (55 pounds) and has a wingspan of 3 meters (10 feet).

It has a payload capacity of 4 kilograms (9 pounds), an assembly time of 3 minutes, and a one-week training requirement for operators and maintenance officers.

The drone is launched via a catapult and controlled using a gamepad.

It has a loitering time of up to 5 hours, range of 500 kilometers (311 miles), flight ceiling of 5,000 meters (16,404 feet), and a top speed of 120 kilometers (75 miles) per hour.

The system is offered along with a specialized flight case, rugged laptop, radio control transmitter, and an antenna set.
