Iveco Defence Vehicles (IDV) will deliver 658 additional tactical logistics trucks to the Italian Army under an expanded agreement, raising the total number of ordered vehicles to 2,111.
The new award builds on a December 2024 contract for 1,453 platforms and extends deliveries through 2039.
According to IDV, the added units will be produced according to its latest standard military truck design and will be configured across multiple logistics roles.
These include transport vehicles, water and fuel tankers, container carriers, recovery platforms, and towing systems.
IDV will also provide technical assistance, sustainment, and broader support services to ensure availability throughout the program.
The company noted that the new fleet will gradually replace aging vehicles adopted for similar functions and help standardize logistics platforms across missions, ranging from routine transport to high-demand support tasks.
“This contract expansion represents another important milestone in IDV’s commitment to supporting and strengthening Italy’s land operational capabilities,” IDV said.
“The new trucks … represent an important step in ensuring the renewal and modernisation of the Italian Army’s fleet of tactical-logistic vehicles.”
