Kraus Hamdani’s Longest-Endurance Drone Joins Pentagon Blue UAS List
The US Department of Defense has added Kraus Hamdani Aerospace’s K1000ULE uncrewed aerial system (UAS) to its Blue UAS Cleared List and Blue UAS Select List, marking it as a secure, NDAA-compliant platform ready for immediate procurement.
It has been independently assessed with zero cyber vulnerabilities and carries an Authority to Operate. Notably, it is the longest-endurance, longest-range aircraft in its category.
The listing follows a $20-million Accelerate the Procurement and Fielding of Innovative Technologies contract awarded in October 2024 to field the K1000ULE with the US Army Pacific 1st Multi-Domain Task Force and Joint Special Operations Command.
“This achievement validates the aircraft and the complete autonomy and software stack behind it,” company co-founder and CTO Stefan Kraus stated.
“It is secure, interoperable, and field-proven with the Army, Navy, MARSOC, and allied forces. We are ready to meet the DOD’s call for scalable operational autonomy today.”
Continuous Missions in Contested Environments
A dual-use drone, the K1000ULE features a minimal logistical footprint, requires no fuel, and can deploy from box to flight in about 10 minutes.
It was designed for sustained operations, featuring a multi-payload capacity, runway independence, and a fully electric propulsion system with a silent acoustic signature.
The system integrates artificial intelligence-driven mission capabilities and seamlessly operates across domains to address complex operational challenges.
K1000ULE also functions as an autonomous communications gateway, extending and bridging voice and data waveforms as well as Tactical Data Links.
It aligns with frameworks such as Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2) and Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2) while delivering real-time decision support through the company’s AI engine, KHAi.
