Saab, Clavister Launch TactiGate XD Cross-Domain System

Saab and Clavister have introduced TactiGate XD, a cross-domain solution combining Saab’s TactiGuard and Clavister’s CyberArmour firewall.

TactiGate XD enables secure communication and data exchange across multiple systems, allowing soldiers to access mission-critical, classified information.

The collaboration between the two companies builds on a partnership established in July, combining Clavister’s cybersecurity expertise with Saab’s cross-domain technologies.

“We are excited to bring TactiGate XD to market and look forward to helping our customers achieve their security and operational goals,” said Heino Lundgren, CEO of Saab Danmark A/S.

John Vestberg, CEO of Clavister, stated that “TactiGate XD meets a critical operational need for secure, real-time information exchange across multiple classified domains, enabling defense forces to act with greater speed, confidence, and security.”

TactiGate XD enables secure, two-way data exchange across classified domains using policy controls, protocol inspection, dynamic routing, and encrypted tunnels.

It meets NATO standards, enabling the secure sharing of mission-critical information.

The system enforces strict access controls to prevent unauthorized use and manipulation of sensitive defense systems.

It mitigates denial-of-service attacks, monitors communications for supply chain anomalies, detects and blocks software exploits, and limits exposure to malware.

By controlling which protocols and applications are allowed, it also reduces the risks associated with human error.

Strong encryption and multi-layered authentication protect remote and autonomous platforms from unauthorized access and hijacking.

On-device AI provides instant anomaly detection without cloud dependency, safeguarding data privacy.

Integrating multiple functions into a single device reduces size, weight, power consumption, and installation complexity, which is critical in space- or resource-constrained environments.
