Elbit Systems Wins $1.6B Deal for Weapons, C4ISR From Europe

Israeli defense contractor Elbit Systems has signed a $1.6-billion deal to supply a European country with advanced defense systems over the next five years.

The agreement covers two main groups of technologies, all featuring the Haifa-based company’s latest innovations, such as embedded AI solutions.

The first set incorporates long-range precision artillery and rocket systems, along with a fleet of unmanned aerial systems.

Ordered drones include small tactical platforms to larger loitering munitions, all expected for surveillance, reconnaissance, and strike deployments.

Meanwhile, the second package includes signal and communications intelligence (SIGINT and COMINT), electronic warfare tools, modern intelligence collection and processing systems, electro-optical and night-vision equipment, and upgrades to combat vehicles and protective systems.

On top of these bundles, Elbit will supply a fully integrated digital combat network to enable connectivity between the customer’s army headquarters, frontline troops, and individual vehicles.

The network system uses the firm’s proprietary C4ISR (command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance) technology to deliver real-time intelligence and operational coordination across all levels.

Supporting Strong Regional Demand

Bezhalel Machlis, CEO and president at Elbit Systems, said the award reflects strong European demand for the company’s advanced technologies and highlights its ability to deliver integrated, multi-domain solutions tailored to modern defense forces.

“Elbit Systems’ comprehensive portfolio has proven itself operationally in the battlefield and is highly regarded by its users, and we are proud to support a European nation in strengthening its national security through this strategic partnership,” Machlis stated.

“This contract also includes industrial cooperation aimed to strengthen the buyer’s national industrial capabilities in the mentioned areas.”
