Iran’s Missile Attacks Down 86% Since Start of US-Israel Ops, Top US General Says

Iran’s missile and drone attacks have dropped sharply since the start of joint US-Israeli strikes.

US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Dan Craine revealed the estimates at a Pentagon briefing, where he specified that Tehran’s theater ballistic missile launches have fallen 86 percent compared with the first day of fighting.

“Their one-way attack drone shots are down 73 percent from the opening days,” Craine stated.

“This progress has allowed CENTCOM to establish localized air superiority across the southern flank of the Iranian coast and penetrate their defenses with overwhelming precision and firepower.”

Caine added that US forces will now expand operations deeper inside Iran.

“We will now begin to expand inland, striking progressively deeper into Iranian territory and creating additional freedom of maneuver for US forces,” he said.

According to figures released during the press conference, Iran has launched more than 500 ballistic missiles since the conflict began, including about 200 long-range missiles aimed at Israel and roughly 300 medium-range missiles targeting Gulf states.

Tehran has also launched more than 2,000 drones.

Meanwhile, US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said the United States was prevailing in the conflict despite casualties among American troops.

Hegseth also confirmed that a US Navy submarine sank an Iranian warship near Sri Lanka using a single torpedo, describing it as the first time since World War II that an American submarine destroyed an enemy vessel with a torpedo.

US and Israeli forces carried out sustained operations on Iranian military targets over the weekend, while Iran continued missile and drone attacks against Israel and several other states in the region.
