Palladyne AI Nabs Missile Propulsion Subsystem Deal From US Defense Prime

Palladyne AI has received a contract from a US defense prime contractor to supply a mission-critical propulsion subsystem in support of an existing American missile program.

The collaboration will be backed by the firm’s expertise in artificial intelligence-powered autonomy solutions, advanced avionics, unmanned systems engineering services, and precision-manufactured components.

According to the Utah-based company, its selection for the partnership is based on its performance on defense programs, proven manufacturing track record, and efficiency to meet strict timelines.

Palladyne AI defense expects the contract to generate nearly $1 million in revenue, all of which is expected in 2026.

Additionally, the agreement will support its strategy to expand its role within the US defense industrial base.

Palladyne AI plans to complete deliveries by the end of the third quarter of this year.

“This contract win represents a meaningful step in scaling our defense manufacturing revenues and reinforces our strategy of embedding Palladyne AI into long-lifecycle weapons programs,” said Ben Wolff, CEO at Palladyne AI.

“It also reflects the confidence that another leading defense prime has placed in our ability to deliver mission-critical hardware on demanding timelines. Beyond the initial contract, we believe we are well positioned for growing annual revenues from this program.”
