Denmark’s Terma Forms Unified Counter-Drone Powerhouse With OSL Technology Acquisition

Danish defense and aerospace firm Terma has acquired OSL Technology, a UK-based specialist in counter-unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS) and intelligent airspace security systems.

The deal accelerates Terma’s push to expand its radar systems, command-and-control suites, aircraft self-protection equipment, and mission-critical surveillance technologies portfolio for global civilian and military markets.

OSL, whose technologies are widely used at major airports and national infrastructure facilities, brings extensive experience in monitoring, locating, and managing drone incursions in complex civil airspace environments.

According to Terma, the British company’s addition into its segment will field an integrated architecture combining defense-grade radar, AI-driven analytics, and full-stack anti-drone tools into an open, modular ecosystem.

“OSL’s operational performance — from years of protecting critical infrastructure at Heathrow and other major sites — shows it delivers where it matters most,” Terma CEO Henriette Thygesen stated.

“Paired with Terma’s multi-domain capacity…we now offer one of the most comprehensive C-UAS suites on the market, helping to set a higher standard for protecting people, airspace, and critical infrastructure.”

The acquisition process involved several partners, with MW&L Capital Partners advising Terma and Cavendish serving as the financial adviser to OSL.
