The next leaders of the UAE’s AI-powered drones may not come from the military, but from the country’s top programmers.
State-owned EDGE Group is partnering with the Ministry of Defense (MoD) to launch the inaugural Drone Challenge, where Emirati citizens in teams of two or three will compete in a series of programming tasks.
The competition offers young programmers a platform to develop practical AI-backed software solutions while working with drones and other robotic systems.
