Philippine Military Trains With AI-Powered Drone Tech to Find Explosive Hazards

Artificial intelligence is helping the Philippine military spot explosive hazards faster, keeping deminers out of harm’s way.

Safe Pro showcased its SpotlightAI, an AI-powered drone imagery analysis ecosystem, during a week-long humanitarian unexploded ordnance (UXO) and landmine detection training program hosted by the Philippine Army at Camp Aquino in Tarlac.

Drones captured imagery and fed data into the system, leveraging the company’s SPOTD (Safe Pro Object Threat Detection) module to detect and classify more than 150 types of hard-to-spot explosives, including landmines, anti-personnel mines, and cluster munitions.
